Floppy disks are not reliable for long term or critical storage. Sometimes a floppy drive even becomes a problem when it has been years since the drive has been used and dust may have accumulated in it. You can try blowing out the drive using a can of compressed air and try a drive on another computer to see if the disk can be read at all. In addition, you can try another floppy to see if it works in the drive(s) to see if the drive(s) actually work to save and read. If the drive and the disk can be seen, there are recovery software that might help like Recuva, but if the disk is not visible in multiple systems, it may be beyond retrieving except by a professional service.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Floppy drive head alignment from drive to drive is problematic. So, migrating a floppy disk to another drive can result in that message. Degradation of the data from exposure to external magnetic fields, including other floppy disks can also occur.

Don't know if this will work or not but Easeus has a recovery program. Get it from the link below.
