Solved Don't know how to install new software from CD disc

Specs: Windows 7
I purchased Nuance; I ;put disk in CD slot; nothing happens. I cannot find the place where I can choose to manually install from a disk. Please help

Do other software disks autostart? You may need to change your autoplay/autorun settings. Some info here:

Open Windows Explorer, scroll down to the CD drive, double click on the Nuance exe.

In my limited experience, there are often multiple .exe files on an
install disk, sometimes in folders. How to determine which .exe to
click on? Trial and error?

Sometimes the correct one is called setup, sometimes not. Often it is the name of the programme itself.

The setup file is often quite small compared to other .exe files on the disk.

Thank you for your reply ... I decided to reinstall windows 8.1 and get rid of windows 10. I was able to get my software loaded.
