Does W7 natively support .wav file creation

Specs: Windows 7
Windows XP Recorder created .wav files - but all I can find in Windows 7 is .wma files. My training program requires .wav or .mp3 files for audio. Can I do this in Windows 7? THANKS for your comments.

You could use a third party program like Audacity to create wave files. It's free and much better than the built-in recorder.
