documents sent by my gmail acct are listed in duplicate.

Specs: Windows 7
When I use gmail to send an email, it is saved in my Sent File in duplicate. How can I tell gmail to save only one? It also requires that I send an email TWICE before it is even SENT (it stays in the outbox until I send/receive twice) , and I must send/receive a third time for it to SHOW UP in my Sent file! augh!!!

Are you using an email client such as Outlook or Thunderbird in conjunction with Gmail webmail?

Are you using Pop or IMAP?

I have an email program called outlook, (not outlook express), but I know nothing about setting up a computer (after using them for 30 years....<BG>) . I just bought - and had installed - MSOffice 2013 ( and regret it mightily!), That's when my problem(s) started. Can you help me? Thanks!!

" MSOffice 2013 ( and regret it mightily!)"
Lets uninstall it & see if things return to normal.

Use Revo to uninstall.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/...
http://www.softpedia.com/progScreen...
http://www.revouninstaller.com/
Open Revo, double click on a program logo, click > Yes & then you get your options, with Advanced down the bottom.
If you have partially uninstalled your program, you get a message from Revo, that it can't find the uninstaller, hit Cancel & let Revo continue on, to search for the remnants.
If you get a reboot message, ignore it & do it after Revo has finished.
I use Advanced Mode. Screenshots of how to use.

hello.'You've gone to a lot of trouble, and I really appreciate it, but.........
"I can't live with it and I can't live w/o it".......
MS has set it up so no one can ever use my 2013 except me, so it might as well stay on my hard drive. (Sometimes, I go back to the v.2003 still ON my computer, though I can't access the email files from gmail there anymore. At least I can use the Word and Excel programs I KNOW!) This "new/improved" Ribbon instead of Toolbars, is just stupid and infuriating to try to navigate.
If there is some way to make Outlook stop duplicating my gmail sent folder and/or SEND an email with fewer than two or three steps, it would make my day easier or at least less stressful!
Or, you can suggest I just suck it up and learn to live with it. There are times I dream of not having to use a computer again, ever. Guess that dates me, but I do have a life that didn't used to include computers, and it was pretty peaceful.I fantasize about living in THAT world again. Thanks for letting me vent, and if you DO have any other ideas, I'm willing to try! Thanks again.

It's a process of elimination, remove it, test, report back here & then we can advise further on the reinstall.
