Display Default Win7 File Extension Type

Specs: Windows 7
How do I do this? I was able to figure it out under XP and Vista but I can't with Windows 7. I find the hidden file extensions to be really annoying. Not to mention it's necessary to change extensions sometimes and I don't know how ot do that with the extensions hidden. Thanks.

It is similar to what it was with XP.

Control Panel\Appearance & Personalization\Folder Options\Appearance -> Uncheck Hide file extensions of known file types.

Please note the wording may be slightly different in English version of Win 7. I use a different language.
