Disk read error on startup?

Specs: Windows 7, 2 GB
Hello there, i have bought a new pc few days ago, when i start using multiple applications in windows 7 my pc shutdown and restarts. Today when i switched it on ,it says Disk read error press ctrl+alt+del to restart then after restarting it goes back to normal.
Plz help me to sort out this problem plz plz...help me

Right click on the disk in Explorer and choose Tools/check for errors. Best is to check Repair bad sectors, but I would only do it if all valuable data were backed up. Otherwise, I would go with repair file system errors and see where that takes you.

It is imperative to have your data backed up, because this could be warning that the disk is on the way out.
