Disk Check for errors on SD Cards & USB

Specs: Windows 7, 2.60 x2 / 8 GB RAM
Is it necessary to check errors on a SD card or a USB? I know it dont need to be defrag.

Yes, memory cards and usb storage devices can & should be checked for errors using the same method as you do for internal hard drives.

However, in the case of memory cards, Windows will detect any errors on it when you insert it in a card reader and will ask you if you want the errors fixing.

If Windows repeatedly tells you a memory card or USB pen drive has errors after it has just fixed them, it means that storage media is faulty and should be replaced.
