If not under warranty, test your hard drive using Seatools from Seagate (download ISO image and burn a bootable CD, then boot to that for tests). If the hard drive tests OK then you just need to do a Start up repair or possibly a System Restore from a Repair Disk. You should have made a Windows 7 Repair Disk when the computer was new (back up section) but you can make one off any Windows 7 machine as long as both are 32bit or 64 bit installations and use that. If that does not work and you have a back up of your files, you will need to do a Factory restore from your recovery partition (see manual) or a recovery disk set available from the factory. The recovery disk set will work even if you need to purchase a new hard drive.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Thrse are some errors I found by using cmd in windows repair via f8

And for a re-imaging:

System partition was nOt found
semaphore timeout period

Device timeout hardisk/dr0

The boot selectionw failed because a required is inacessible

So yes, all the repairs didn't work so ill hope locating the cd will help....

Do you know who your harddrive is made bye? The reason I ask is that harrdrive manufacturers ttest programs now only run on one brand ,,, theirs. if I know who the manufacturer is I can direct you to the harddrive test software you need to run.

I would follow post #2. Also, when you get to the boot menu through F8. One of the options isto disable auto reboot.
