Solved Disable Windows 7 Startup Splash Screen not working

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, 1.83 GHz / 1247 MB
disable win7 splash screen did not work
I followed these instructions;

PC did not ask for restart so I restarted and the splash screen was still there.

Pretty straightforward... worked for me. (I took the precaution of making a Restore Point first... I don't mind the splash screen)

I am trying to get rid of the splash screen sounds like you want to have it. I think it is annoying because you can type on the net and find your answer through Microsoft.

I finally had to call Microsoft and they had to create another login because something in my user profile was not right and so they went in and deleted the Windows Help Pane and now when I boot up my PC I no longer see that annoying splash screen because if I need to know something just go on the net like I have here.
