Hello, is it possible to make it so that if I am downloading a file from the internet that it will disable power saving mode until the file has downloaded? I was downloading a huge file so I left the house to come back and see that my computer went into sleep mode and canceled the download. I like power saving mode but not when it is downloading files. Thanks.

As far as I know, you'll have to change it each time you want to download a large file.

I never use sleep or hibernate. I'd be surprised if it saved 25 cents a year.

So do you use screensaver only? The only reason I have it on is in case I have to leave the room no one else can access my computer files. You can set it up so that it requires a password when the screensaver cuts on correct?

I don't use a screensaver either. I can lock the PC with ctrl alt & del. Then choose lock PC.
