Desktop upgrade results in prgm loading snag

Specs: Windows 7
I just upgraded my pc by installing a solid state drive and new RAM memory. I simply swapped out my old drive, then re-installed windows 7 and all my drivers on the new one. Now, every other boot-up, clicking the firefox, the openoffice, or any other program icon will not cause it to load, but to endlessly think about it. What's my problem? Please?

Because you essentially have a new installation, as opposed to cloning your old drive, you are going to have to reinstall all your programs for the sake of the Registry.

you should also make sure you upgraded the chip/sata drivers for your mobo, and intel storage/trim drivers to get the best from your new drive.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

Since I replaced my old drive (didn't have another sata cable and I didn't understand RAID yet), I figured I'd have to reinstall programs and download drivers- but it was hard to do that when every program I installed sporadically failed to open.

I can see though how my original post would make one think that I had just expected the programs to be there despite them being on a hard drive that wasn't installed.... but now you know! Still see the problem?
