February 2, 2014 at 04:11:49
Specs: Windows 7, 3% / 4 gb
WIN 7 HPR. THE ONLY SCREEN I GET AFTER SAFE BOOT IS THE LOGIN SCREEN., I PUT IN MY PASSWORD THEN IT GOES TO ADMINISTRATOR: CMD.EXE/. & INSIDE THAT IT SAYS MICROSOFT WINDOWS VERSION 6.1.7601. THEN NEXT LINE IS C:\WINDOWS\SUSYEM32> AND THE CURSOR. IS THERE A COMMAND I CAN TYPE IN TO GET OUT OF SAFE MODE or USE A DIFFERENT BOOT

I do not use command line very often and others will know for sure but simply try typing: restart
Hold F8 when starting for start up options. It would be helpful if you explained why you were looking to enter Safe Mode but chose the command line version.

By the way, turn off your caps lock since it is seen as shouting.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Are you deliberately choosing "Safe Mode with Command Prompt"?

I've not heard of a restart command but shutdown /r should shut down then restart.

It would help us to know the background to this as there might be a better approach. Normally to get to Windows you would just shut down then power up again.

If it's of any interest you can do System Restore from command prompt - type rstrui.exe and then press Enter.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Re #4
Yeah. We don't seem to need Command Prompt as often as we needed to use DOS in the old W95/98 days. I get rusty too...
