Click Start > In the Search box immediately above the Start button, Copy & Paste > msconfig & in the window that opens, click on msconfig.
In the System Configuration window that opens, in the General section, click on Normal startup, click > Apply & then OK.
Reboot.
Or,
Open Task Mananger > File > New Task (Run...) Copy & Paste > msconfig & in the window that opens, click on msconfig.
In the System Configuration window that opens, in the General section, click on Normal startup, click > Apply & then OK.
Reboot.

Some other thoughts:

Try the Lnk fix from here:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...

If that doesn't help then try the Exe fix from the same place.

I recall that this can sometimes be caused by a virus.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
