Deleting partition on one of two drives

Microsoft Windows vista ultimate 64-bit
March 12, 2010 at 16:51:02
Specs: Windows Vista
vista on drive c
win7 on drive e
Can I delete win7 on e and upgrade vista? I don't want to mess vistas up. win 7 was installed last so it's listed first when computer first boots up. thanks,
Garylr

Dumb MS makes it difficult to say for sure. C is relative to how the OS booted not any location or order.

You have to be sure by size or how it is by partition order not by the drive letter.

I think you would simply run into having to repair or at least edit the boot manager.

boot into vista, upgrade, (to win7?) that will make your new upgrade the 1st boot, once you are sure that all is working you could delete the old win 7, or keep it just incase something goes wrong with the vista upgrade...

but cant help myself....
