download revo uninstaller and use that to remove any unwanted progs. Also unlocker and move on boot should work for you to remove the unwanted files..

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions 7 Golds

What sort of "old files" are you trying to delete - some examples please?

Normally you "uninstall" complete programs.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Well you may be the administrator, but not the creator of the files and hence do not have the privilege needed at first glance. Please be sure you are not deleting protected system or otherwise important files. But to delete them you right click, select security and change the owner to your account, allow the permission to inherit particularly if you need to a few folders instead of just one file.
