Delete Win7 IE8 & Firefox 4 Search history

Specs: Windows XP, WIN 7
Hi all. I have WIN7 and IE8, also Firefox 4beta. How to delete the search engine history in them?
I have installed Yahoo, Google, AOL and MSN search engines.

please help me, cheers to all

well im not sure why you need these gone, can i assume your hitting up sites that someone else, perhaps the computer owner doesnt want you to visit? Browsers have a delete history tab but it would be obvious if suddenly all browsing history has been deleted. In IE, you can run in a Private Browsing mode to prevent cookies and history from being recorded. Pull down the "safety" tab next to "tools" on the menu bar, and then choose In Private browsing which also corresponds to Ctrl+Shift+P ALso IE has a Ctrl+Shift+Del to quickly delete browsing history without much thought. Actually Firefox uses these exact same commands, or you can find both of these options under the tools menu

for firefox, you can look in tools-->clear private data..
