✔ Best Answer
Windows 7 does not have a boot.ini file.
It would help if you could describe the problem you are having or what you are trying to do.

Boot.ini file is for Windows XP and Win 2000.

If you have it, then that means you had Win XP installed and you dual-booted to Win 7. Later, you removed Win XP and the file remained. You should be able to delete it with no ill effect.

You can also leave it there and make it hidden so you do not see it.

It's a file called bootmgr.dll, but it's not wise to change it unless you know what you're doing. However there's a free utility called EasyBCD that lets you mess around with it at your own risk - do a Google for it to download.
