Solved Ctrl key is stuck

Specs: Windows 7
I have an HP Pavillion dv5 Notebook, windows 7 home premium 64-bit and this started to happen just last night. I was on a website and went to scroll down on the touchpad, but it shrunk the text instead. Thinking I was unknowing touching the touchpad I tired again while knowing I was not touching it and it still done this. I figured out my laptop it acting like the CTRL key is stuck because it does all the shortcut commands and not just in Firefox. To open a word document file it tells me I am holding down the CTRL key and does the shortcuts in there as well.

I have also pulled up the on screen keyboard and it shows me that the key is being held down. I plugged a keyboard in thinking maybe my keyboard on the laptop is getting faulty, but it does the same on this keyboard as well so I know it is not the fault of the keys. But to make sure I even cleaned the keyboard and it still is not fixed. To add a little information the sticky key function is off and so is the other functions on that list as well. It also stopped doing this for a short time and then random started back up again for no reason. I also ran a full scan with Kasperskey and it found no threats whatsoever. Please help?

Have you tried a reboot?

I have rebooted, but I just rebooted it again and it seems that the second reboot has fixed it so far. Though I will give an update if this is just a temporary fix rather than a permanent one.
