cpu 100% usage?

Specs: Windows 7, intel i5 580/6gb ram
i have a hp dv7 laptop with i5 580m and 6gb ram. I have been facing a problem for a while now. Every now and then when i watch videos on youtube or veoh etc. for like 10 mins my cpu jumps to 95-100% usage. When i look into the task manager it shows that the explorer is using about 70-80% of the cpu and the rest is used by various process. the ram usage is around 45%. This only happens when I am watching videos online. Watching videos from HDD poses no problem. Its not just firefox either it also happens on chrome and internet explorer. When I close the online video everything goes back to normal to like 10-20% cpu usage. I scaned with antivirus and nothing seems to be the problem here. I dont know what else to do. Please help.
Thankyou very much!!

try scanning with malwarebytes(google for download) and see if it detects anything.
the cpu could also be overheating,
When I close the online video everything goes back to normal to like 10-20% cpu usage
are those readings at idle, or when ur doing something?

Its usually when I am just browsing. At idle its around 3-5% cpu usage. I will scan with malwarbyt... return soon with results.
Thankyou.
