Specs: Windows 7
My school laptop (Which is stupidly stupid) has its CPU up to 100% 24/7. Its usually caused by scvhost.exe, i have heard. However, Since it is a school one, I do not have Administrative authority to view the full task list/Admin settings. Im sorta stuck

"Which is stupidly stupid"

A laptop is an inanimate object. The only thing that can be "stupidly stupid" is the user.

So what is it you're asking? I can only guess that you've been using the school laptop for things that you shouldn't being using it for & picked up an infection. Not much we can do to help you with that. If the anti-virus program isn't picking it up & you don't have admin rights, you're SOL. Take it back to school & face the consequences.

If I had a school laptop and I thought there was some problem, I'd take it in to school. There might be a person paid on staff that could fix it. He or she may have the admin password.

Isn't scvhost.exe slightly different that the svchost.exe on my system? Myxo101, did you misspell that, or is that the exact spelling in task manager? It could be a trick virus hiding in your system.
