Copy subdirectories without dir structure

November 27, 2011 at 08:43:01
Specs: Windows 7
I would like to copy files that are in many subdirectories into one destination directory without the subdirectory structure, so I end up with one directory with all of my files in it. I tried DOS's xcopy, but that seems to maintain the directory structure in my destination folder, which I don't want.

for /R "Your_Folder" %j in (.) do @copy "%j\*.*" "Your_Destination"

By the way there is no DOS in Windows 7 since it is based on NT kernel.

Robocopy or it's successor wold be a choice too.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
