Specs: Windows 7
Can I copy an image containing only text from Microsoft Office Picture Manager into Notepad? I am able to copy it into OneNote but I also get a bunch of garbage.

No, you can't directly copy any sort of image into NotePad. You use optical character reading to obtain the text from the image, which should then copy into any text editor or word processor.

Johnw has found some good links for you in #1.

As Derek mentioned you can't copy to Notepad but Windows comes with another program called Wordpad and you can copy images into that program. Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories folder.

Good point from THX 1138.

By the same token you should be also able to put an image into any word processor t. The problem is that as it's a picture you can't edit then the text. You need OCR for that.

Note that OCR can get thinks wrong so check the text carefully after using it.
