convert time machine backup to windows 7

July 9, 2011 at 19:45:54
Specs: Windows 7, Dual Core i3/4 GB
My iMac crashed, tried everything to get it back up and running, all to no avail. I do have a very current Time Machine backup. I need to move the files to our only other computer, which is a Windows 7 laptop. When I plug the backup drive into my laptop, it does not recognize the Mac backup portion of the drive. How do I convert the files in the Time Machine backup so that they can be recognized on the Windows 7 laptop?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You will need to do this using a Mac machine. There may be a way to do it through Windows but I very much doubt it.

Ewen,

OK, my oldest daughter has a macbook. If I copy the files onto the macbook, what do I do from there?
