I have XP Pro, Windows 7 Ultimate, and Windows 7 Professional all networked together at my home and all are sharing one network printer.

To connect the Windows 7 box you'll probably have to run the "Connect to a Network" wizard located on the "Network and Sharing Center" applet.

The printer will first have to be shared and you'll need to know the LAN IP of the computer it's connected to and you'll need the printer drivers handy. Once you are ready, run the "Add Printer" wizard on the computer you wish to add the printer to.

Choose "Add Local printer" and then select "Create new port" and choose "Standard TCP/IP port" from the pulldown menu and click "Next". In the next window, enter the LAN IP of the computer the printer is connected to and go through the rest of the wizard.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.
