Specs: Windows 7
Im having a huge problem, I cant run any 32bit exe. I can run sfc /scannow and I can run any virus software. When my computer boots it says that all my startup 32 bit programs have crashed and I cant open anything unless it is 64 bit. Again I cant run virus software unless it is only 64 bit and I cant run sfc /scannow. It stops at 10%. Please help I really dot want to do a system restore or factory reset both of which I dont think will fix this anyway and I dont have the windows 7 cd. Please help asap

Guess you could try a restore point.

Personally, I'd reload the OS from OEM media.

Text, talk, drive...CRASH.

Hang up and drive @#$%^^

First there is little danger in doing a system restore, especially if you do not have any hardware problems. It will repair your system files and your registry but not touch your personal files. THIS is what I would try first. THEN I would reboot into safe mode and run Malwarebytes to make sure you do not haven an infection.

The Factory Restore WILL wipe out your hard drive and reset everything to the way it was shipped from the factory. This will clean anything out that is giving you problems BUT it will wipe out your files also so you should make a back up first. It will also mean that you will need to reinstall any programs and all updates all over again. This is extreme, but may be the answer if your problem is serious.

You mention or elude to using multiple antivirus programs. You can only have one antivirus program installed at a time without problems. Some antivirus programs, especially, McAfee and Norton, do not ordinarily completely uninstall by normal methods, they leave parts behind unless you use their uninstallers that can be downloaded from their websites to completely remove them. (Note that Malwarebytes can be used with an antivirus program installed and run only when needed as a double check.)

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
