Solved Computer will not boot up

August 22, 2013 at 05:42:31
Specs: Windows 7
I have tried to take my advent computer back to the factory setting with my recovery disks. It works until it gets to windows and then it stops telling me there is a file missing so it does not complete the recovery. Now it will not even boot up. I have to press ctrl + alt + delete. Which I have done but it still returns to ctrl + alt = delete and will not go any further.

Hi ddraeg,

If the factory restore fails with an error message of missing file, I would suggest you to install the operating system using the recovery disk that comes with the system.

If you did not get the recovery disk, you can contact the manufacturer.

For instruction on installing the operating system using the disk, refer to the link mentioned below:

NOTE: Please change CD/DVD drive as the first boot device so that system boots from optical drive instead of hard drive.
