This wouldn't happen to be a few days after the warranty ran out would it???
Seriously, from your brief description, this a number of things, but I would first think power supply. If this is still under warranty (or extended warranty), you should bring it in for warranty service while you still have it. If you are going to diagnose this and need our help, please include model and more details including any changed to hardware (upgraded video card, etc), recent changes to software, recent problems, and more details on what you see and hear (fans, lights, beeps, monitor lights, etc.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

do you see the post/bios messages when it starts?
do you have any beep sounds?
do you have a row of led's on the mobo? and what are the lights doing?
have you had any black outs?
how do you know the wifi isnt working if the screen is black?
are the fans running?
is the disk spinning up?

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
