Did you install the software BEFORE you plugged it in the first time? Did you use the included software to do the install by their steps? Have you tried a different USB cable? Have you checked the power cable/power light? Did you unlock the bed? Have you tested the USB port with another device? IF your scanner uses power from the USB port, does your MB support the powered device? if not, then you may need a powered hub.I just checked you model#. This is an All-in-one Printer which includes scanning. This is not what you stated above, plus this is a few years old model. Are you sure you have Windows 7 drivers for it? Did you download the Printing and scanning drivers and all other scanning software available for it from HP? Specifically for Windows 7? You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane. |
