Have you run ADWCleaner and MalwareBytes freebies on it?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

More important even than the never sleep is setting the hard drive to never power down. I use sleep all of the time, though I prefer to set it on manually, I have no trouble as long as I set the hard drive to never power down. While in sleep mode it will be powered down by the sleep cycle but I find that it has trouble waking if the hard drive powered down before it want into sleep mode. On a desktop sleep is actually a hybrid sleep and the last write to the had drive which is a copy of the RAM sleep info is probably delayed with the hard drive powered down and may be failing to complete before the sleep powers down and the information in incomplete or corrupted. When this happens the only answer is to force a shut down (hold power button) and restart it. I have been having some trouble occasionally on this new build with sleep probably involving the SSD drive but I have used Hybrid Sleep on desktops through W95, W98, XP, and Windows 7 before this one, and W8 & 8.1 without problems as long as you set the HD to never power down.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
