Specs: Windows 7
tried windows 10, didn't like it so i tried to roll back to windows 7 under the recovery tool. Now it goes to Windows Error Recovery screen, start up repair recommended, this goes for a few minutes then I getStart Up Repair cannot repair, I figured I should system restore in safe mode, every time i go to safe mode (all3 options) my mouse and keyboard does not work so I cant enter my password to even go to system restore. I even rebooted off of the Windows 7 cd, I go to Repair computer. system restore is an option but here it tels me there is no restore points. Aside from reformatting and reinstaling windows 7 (lose all my files) I don
t know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

First, you can save any files that are not backed up off system by booting off a CD/DVD with a Live Linux Disk (boot off CD into RAM, not install), then access hard drive and copy all important files to external media such as external hard drive or DVD's (Flash drives are not reliable enough for this, same with SD cards). Make sure that you confirm the files are accessible on other computers.
I have used the Windows Repair Disk to do System Restores but I doubt that it will find restore points that install disk did not. I have used it to perform Start Up Repairs but the install disk should also be proficient at this.
You should also be able to perform a Repair Install of your Windows 7 machine using your installation DVD without destroying your files (back up anyway) or installed programs. See this link for more details:

I know of this but (luckily) have not needed to do this so I have left it to the tutorial to show you the way.
I hope that by backing up first you are confident enough to tackle this with less worry and that the repair is able to straighten you out again.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
