Completely remove HP Printer files

Specs: Windows 7
I own a HP Office Jet 6500 on Windows 7. I can no longer print, scan or copy plus the setup bottom no longer works. Before downloading the newest drive i wanted to delete the program through the Control Panel. However, the program is not listed. Then I downloaded the latest driver and used the Uninstall option. This didn't work either. I did a search on • x:\Util\CCC\Uninstall-L1,
\Util\CCC\Uninstall-L2, :\Util\CCC\Uninstall-L3 and nothing popped up. Any recommendations for deleting the printer files or other options.

What happens, if you simply try to install the new driver over the old one?
Then you can try to deinstall the driver again, hoping, it will uninstall the whole thing, including the old one.
The again install the new driver, to have a clean installation.

its probably best if you open an mmc and create a print management mmc.

Press > start> and in the search box right above start, type "mmc" press enter.

Go to action > add snap in> add print management>Add print server make it your local computer ( then unde rprinter servers > add remove driver packages and remove that hp printer completely.

This works well I do it all the time. here is an online guide
