Try a system restore to a time when it worked correctly. If this does not work, do a windows repair from install disk or recovery partition.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

System restore is not the same thing as a total restore from an image or from factory disks.

Check your settings in Control panel for backup and restore. You may be surprised to see that you are using it.

Concerning your original question, you should determine why this is happening.

Are you allowing enough time for system to open?

I know what system restore is and what it does I don't use it. I have waited 20 to 30 min. for it to open.

Try going to Control Panel> Action Center, to see if there are any logs on that issue. If so, you can check for a solution there.
