Try uninstalling Chrome using Revo Uninstaller Portable. The Advanced mode will first run the program's uninstallation wizard then look for leftover files, folders, and registry entries. You should always be careful about any registry cleaners or adjustments (ask if you're unsure about what Revo finds), but Revo has never specified an improper registry entry for me before. Then redownload and install the newest version of Chrome.

Just for info, the only time Revo Advanced has let me down is that it removed registry entries in error when there were several products from the same supplier - it confused them. Seems it is OK if there is no other product from the same source.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
