Specs: Windows 7, Home Premium, SP1
Copy of loop chrome developer upload problem 5/28/13
when trying to install file 29.0.516.3_chrome_installer.exe to update existing version 27.0.1453.93m and you go to the "about Google Chrome" help tab, it appears that the download is working. Then you finally get the attached screenshot, which shows: "Nearly up-to-date! Relaunch Google Chrome to finish update." However, when you depress the Relaunch button, all you get is a continuous loop that the exact same screen comes up again and again (Nearly up-to-date! Relaunch Google Chrome to finish update.)

I have disabled all antivirus and malware software, in addition to going to Google's regular installation/update problem help section and applying all their suggestions - even though they did not apply to my problem. None of their suggestions helped in this instance.

Can only assume it is corrupted, uninstall it using Revo & then reinstall.

Revo Uninstaller

Open Revo, double click on a program logo, click > Yes & then you get your options, with Advanced down the bottom.
If you have partially uninstalled your program, you get a message from Revo, that it can't find the uninstaller, hit Cancel & let Revo continue on, to search for the remnants.
If you get a reboot message, ignore it & do it after Revo has finished.
I use Advanced Mode. Screenshots of how to use.
