Changed CMOS battery and jumpers now won't power on at all

My dell 8100xps was giving a CMOS bad sum error see above in the title please help so I went on dell website printed help and followed instructions watched Johnny hung on YouTube he walked me through the whole process I completed the pr ocess and hooked up all power and cables nothing

Why would you think it was necessary to change any jumpers? Restore them back as they originally set.

After that, boot into the BIOS (setup) and try setting to default values. Date and time need to be set to current values.

If you mean the 'clear cmos' jumper then you need to put it back to the standby position.

If you still get nothing then perhaps you didn't get it reassembled correctly or jarred something loose while you were inside the case.

If you replaced the CMOS battery, there was no reason to do anything with any jumper(s). If you moved the "clear CMOS" jumper from its normal position to the "clear" position, it should have only been moved momentarily & then moved back again. If you attempt to power up the system with the jumper in the clear position, you risk damaging the motherboard. Make sure the jumper is placed back to its normal position.
