ccleaner wants to make adjustments to my comp

May 8, 2011 at 23:10:46
Specs: Windows 7
I have had ccleaner on my computer for about 8 mos. Now, all of a sudden, for the past week, it asks permission to make changes to my computer every time I boot up. Is this normal? I always say yes because I basically don't know what I'm doing, and really don't know if I need it or not.
Thank you for your help
I don't know enough of what I'm doing to know how to fill out below. I'm not sure if I even got the category or subcategory correct.

I'll bet you've accidentally set CCleaner to run at every start-up - not really necessary unless you are really paranoid about clearing data, and if you don't want it to run every time, then click on the 'options' button, then 'settings' and remove the tick from 'run at startup'.

pamelia, Just open CCleaner, click on "Options", and uncheck "Run CCleaner when the computer starts".
