Can't uninstall Microsoft Office XP from Computer with Win 7

Specs: Windows XP
How do I solve error msg, "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." I tried to install Microsoft Office XP into my computer that has Window 7. It let me install but it doesn't work. Now I'm trying to uninstall it but it doesn't let me. I'm the only user on the computer so I'm already the adminstrator. Please help.

Hopefully you are not running it as the administrator. You should have a standard user account that you use all the time. There is almost no reason to use the admin account. Use run-as instead when needed.

Are you using the programs part of control panel to try to remove this program?
