Can't run FB application, why?

Compaq / Cq57-439wm

Specs: Windows 7, AMD DC E-300
Bought Presario CQ57-439WM. Can't play "Words With Friends" on FB? I have a AMD Dual Core Processor E-300 (1.3GHz) with a 250GB Hard Drive and 2048MB DDR3 SDRAM. My computer states the processor is running at 100% when I try to run the application? Is this computer too small to handle FB applications? I just bought it but will return it if it's not big enough. Help!

What you have is a basic low end laptop with a weak CPU, minimal RAM, & a small HDD. It's definitely not a gamer. FB games shouldn't be a problem but you should be running as lean as possible. Did you uninstall all the pre-installed HP/Compaq bloatware? Did you dump Norton & replace it with a lightweight freebie such as Microsoft Security Essentials? The performance difference between "out of the box" & a properly tweaked system can be substantial.

by the sounds of it you are NOT a so-called gamer...that PC should run any app from facebook. It is obviously still under warranty so why not call their tech support and have them look into your problem...it is NOT as bad as it seems

Could be full of cr$pware from the factory.
Could be full of malware already.
Could be too little ram. (issue with ram or errors)

Most FB games use Adobe Flash. Make sure you have Flash installed and that it's the latest version.
