Can't run exe. files on Win 7, regedit no use

April 14, 2011 at 21:55:12
Specs: Windows 7
I accidentally messed up opening exe. files. I was trying to open an exe. that didn't respond so I tried making it open through another program, but I slipped and ended up selecting notepad, which then became the default for all exe. files. I changed the default to another program that I could uninstall thinking all exe. will revert back to default but after uninstalling it asks what to open with. PLEASE HELP!

BTW, I tried regedit, won't work, not even through command prompt.

Computing.net is the place for all your help requests.

Click the word help above and then the link that Tufenuf has provided on the page that opens and go down the page till you come to Exe file association. Save the contents of the exe link and then merge it to your Windows registry.
