Specs: Windows 7
Is there some way to remove a folder named "Favorite Bar" from my favorite list? I delete it but it soon appears again. Does anyone know where it would be in the registry? Thanks.

I do not know that answer, but you could consider using Firefox for most of your browsing. When installing you can have it copy settings and Favorites from IE and then remove from the Bookmarks list what you do not want to carry over.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

It's built into IE and a similar one (Bookmarks Toolbar) appears in Firefox.

In fact it can be useful - creates buttons along the top to access your most used websites (if you have it invoked).

Always a bit risky trying to remove system features.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Thanks for the reply Derek. I guess I'll have to leave it alone.

Yep, there might be some way but as it is not a requirement usually called for I doubt there will be anything published on it.

You can of-course invoke (or not invoke) the actual toolbar by right clicking an empty space near the top and checking (or unchecking) "Favorites bar".

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
