Specs: Windows 7
hi everyone

i have a gateway laptop (sa1) with windows vista home premium OEMAct
and i wanted to install internet explorer9 but i couldn't and they told me that i need to have vista sp2
so i decided to install windows 7 instead because it's much better
so i put the win 7 installation CD
and i formatted the hard disk
now the CD starts copying windows files successfully
then when it reaches (expanding windows files) it just stays in (0%) for a long time
and after a while the installation fails
and after that i see an error message

can anyone plz help me ?

thank you

do one thing reinstall your windows vista if it install correctly than again try to install the windows 7.if vista also not get installed than it demands chip level repairing so contact your nearby person who do chip level repairing.

sounds like you may some propriety drivers/chip set drivers too.
did you run a compatability test beforehand to be sure you could run win7 without extra drivers.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
