Specs: Windows 7, 6 GB
Can't install software. Old computer crashed and have backup file for Clie addresses but can't access. Can I convert them to something that will run on the new Windows7. Not using the handheld only the address file.

The only way you "might" be able to get these to work, because 64 bit is exceedingly touchy when it comes to using older software even though it has x86 support. Get vmware, and use a windows xp x86 image to use that program.

First check Sony's site for a newer version of the software, even if it is for a later version of the device, it may have access to the files. If not then try installing under XP Compatibility first as this may be all you need to do. If these both fail, then you may need a virtual machine with XP on it, but these other options would be easier and faster to accomplish.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
