mmm - must be careful here not to get involved in battles with partners… especially at this time of year…

Have you tried leaving the password entry/box - blank - and simply pressing Enter/Return? Or using Administrator, or administrator, or Admin, or admin…; maybe even Password, or password…?

Also; apart from where capitals (upper-case) letters are normally used.. better to type messages etc. in lower case (not all in capitals). All in capitals is often seen as "shouting" etc. - but also is not so easy to read as when in lower-case…

Ensure caps lock is "not on" when typing?

Is there a "hint" box you can click on to help you with the password?

Otherwise, try this: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=forgot+windows...

Incidentally is this a windows password you're asked for or something else… This may be a request for a bios password - which comes up differently to the request for the windows logon/password dialogue/combination?

So are you actually seeing the windows logon/password screen - or not; and if not the windows one then what does it look like and actually show on the screen?
