Did you save and exit after you changed the boot order

Recovery disks may or may not be bootable.

Usually there is a F key to select recovery. Might not be visible if you have a CRT or some LCD's as they take too long to start.

See owners manual for exact how to's. Might have to press a key blind.

As in response 1, F10 is usually the 'save & exit' short cut or you select from the menu.
Know if you use recovery/recovery disk (assuming your recovery partition was not written over) you will start from a new computer set up (all updates and all programs added will be missing as well as any data)
Think before going back that far, is is worth it? If you have a reasonably modern computer with enough memory, Windows 7 properly installed runs better than previous editions.

Toshiba systems generally have function key to press during boot to select the boot device (HDD, DVD). The newer systems when the Toshiba logo comes up have a prompt on the bottom of the screen and for boot select it is usually F12. Can you boot to the DVD using this?

I did not press F10 to save I just clicked on Yes where it gave
me a choice to save changes. I will try that next.
Thank you will reply if it works.
