Can't boot from 5000GB Western Digital drive

Specs: Windows 7, 2 GB
Gateway GT5620 Award Bio 6.00PG won't reboot after first part of Install. Also can't install Linux Mint ater install. The Only software that will boot is Red Hat Liniux. .

IDE Channel 0 Master : ST1500630AAAAAA 2.AAF
IDE Channel 0 Slave : TSTTcorpCD/DVDW TS-H652d GA01

SATA Channel 1 Master : MDC MD32000AAAJS ZZRYA0 12.01801

System will boot from IDE CD dirive but not from Hard Drive.

At one point is saw a quick message fly by from Linius Mint that said simething like BIOS disk sector out of supported range.

Use the Pause button on the keyboard to see if you can get the EXACT message & then Google it.

I would use a Windows install CD to remove all partitions & start again.
