Solved Cannot set Win 7 to Show hidden files, folders, or drives

Specs: Windows 7, Core TM(2)/2Ghz/3GB
When I go into View Folder Options and click on "Show hidden files, foders, or drives" and click on "Apply", everything seems like it works. Then when I immediately go back to the same dialog, "Show hidden files, foders, or drives" is unselected (resets). How do I get it to stick?

Make sure that you are logged in as administrator.

Thanks. As administrator, I can make those changes, though that doesn't change what happens when I login to a regular account (still the same problem). Any other ideas? This happened after I reverted back to an earlier point.
