Cannot run factory restore DVDs on pavillion, had rootkit virus, lost everythin recovery partition stopped working, bios was updates he'd was wiped ordered recovery disks from hp and it say it will not work for this computer, is there a way to edit my feature byte and build Id on bios because it's blank now and I think that is why the disk won't run recovery program.

You are not completely clear on all issues.
If you have updates the BIOS on a factory computer (no real reason to unless the factory instructed you to in order to solve a problem) and not it will not allow the recovery disk set to reinstall, your only chance would be to re-update the BIOS back to the original factory BIOS available from the factory's website for your exact model.
Your only other choice is to purchase a retail edition of Windows 7 and install that instead.
If your BIOS update went wrong, you can try returning it to the factory BIOS, but if that fails, you may need to replace the motherboard (shipping it back, if they are willing and able to repair the BIOS, would probably cost you more than replacing it, and they might just replace the motherboard anyway).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
