can you update from 32 bit , to 64 bit

Specs: Windows 7, 2.00gb(1.75gb usable)
do you have to buy it or can you just update it.
I have updated from vista to windows 7 .
I updatated my ram from 1 to 2 ram .
and would love to have 64 or even more than 64 bits.
Hope some one can help me buy for now

Did you get a free upgrade from Vista to Win 7 when you bought the computer? Some manufacturers offered that option when you purchased their machine. There are only two versions of Win 7. The 32 bit and the 64 bit version. Unless you need to use the 64 bit version, stick with the 32 bit version. From you post, you seem to be under the impression that the 64 bit version is faster. For the average user, it's not. Why don't you add more ram if you're looking for a performance boost. I see that you have 2 gigs installed now. That's usually sufficient for the average user.

You would be wasting your time to even try that on only 2G. Keep it as it is until you get 6G or so.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?
