Who told you you would have to send each Email back to Comcast, that is ridiculous. it could run into thousands and what are Comcast going to do with them, send them back to the sender?

As to losing data, it depends on how you configured Thunderbird. If you set it to leave Email on the server they probably all ready have them. If they have been deleted from the server then you need to make backup of your Emails before un-instlaling Thunderbird.

If you want to un-install Thunderbird just go ahead and un-install it like any other application. you will need to configure something else to receive your Email with.

When you configured Thundbird for comcast did you configure the ports correctly.

I am not thatcomputer savey, all I did was download Thunderbird like a friend suggested. Now I want to get rid of it. I know how to unistall but don't want to lose my photos. I might have to take to Office Max and get them to remove from my computer. I just want all my data to revert to my Comcast account. Thanks

Un-installing Thunderbird should not delete an photos or Emails you have download using is, it should leave them intact. But the wise thing to do is as always, is to make a backup before you start then is something does go wrong, you have a fall back.

I have no ides what you mean I just want all my data to revert to my Comcast account.
