How much RAM do you actually have? Is the HDD almost full? Did you mess with the virtual memory settings?

I have 4G of ram. I have not touched the VM. Research shows that I have to open Photo Deluxe to increase memory for the program but I do not have enough memory to open Photo Deluxe. Nothing I tried worked. Had to take it to be repaired.

Try Safe mode.

Is this on a windows xp or 7 computer? Is it a 32 or 64-bit OS? If 32-bit try dropping the ram to about 3 gig and see if it runs. Close down programs running in the background. Run some malware scans to see if something evil has planted itself in your computer and is wasting ram.

That should not just suddenly happen. Run these three freebies in the order given and see what they find/fix:

AdwCleaner:
https://toolslib.net/downloads/view...
(blue "Download Now" button on right).
Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run the program. Use the "Scan" button, followed by the "Clean" button.

Junkware Removal Tool (JRT)
https://www.malwarebytes.org/junkwa...
(blue Download button).
Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run JRT. It might appear to have stopped at times or flash the screen but sit tight until it has finished.

MalwareBytes:
https://www.malwarebytes.org/
(use the "Free Download" button rather than the "Buy Now" button).
After the install go to "Settings > Protection". Under Scan Options move the "Scan for rootkits" slider over to On and Run the Threat Scan. Quarantine anything it finds.

If any of them find something please copy/paste the associated logs on here.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

We hope you get it fixed but they'll just charge you to do the same things we recommended for free.

Just for info, when you post a computer problem on a forum there can be an extended to and fro diagnosis phase because we haven't got the computer in front of us to see what is happening and try things. It is quite different to taking it to a shop.

I doubt this was really "not enough memory". When software screws up the issue can get misreported. There were a lot more avenues that could have been explored, such as re-installing the program or doing a system restore from Windows.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
